John Rex School Board Supports Teacher Walkout

OKLAHOMA CITY (March 19, 2018) – In a special meeting Monday night, John Rex Charter Elementary School’s board of directors unanimously passed a resolution in support of its teachers as they decide whether to participate in a possible teacher walkout beginning April 2. John Rex Charter Elementary School Receives National Recognition for STEM Program

John Rex Charter Elementary School (JRCES) was recently recognized as a Project Lead The Way (PLTW) Distinguished District for providing transformative learning opportunities for students through PLTW Launch. JRCES is the only PLTW Distinguished District in Oklahoma City and one of two in the state for the 2016-2017 school year. The PLTW Launch curriculum empowers students to think critically through activities and problems relating to the world around them.
