To the extent possible, JRCS attempts to align our school calendars with the OKCPS district extended learning calendar.

Nevertheless, the total number of instructional days each school year will be augmented to provide extended instructional time. Therefore, not every vacation or break will exactly mirror the OKCPS calendar.

John Rex Charter School submitted a letter to the State Department of Education declaring that the school calendar will be based on hours of instruction – not days of instruction per year. This allows for additional flexibility in the event of inclement weather or other delays.
