Off to the Races – Running for Renovation

Dear Friends,

I am thankful to be a part of the John Rex Charter School (JRCS) community and look forward to continuing to build relationships this year. Despite the challenges schools are facing, John Rex continues to create an invaluable learning experience for our Rockets. Our resilient and talented staff amaze me with their creative teaching and the ways they instill fun into learning every day.

We are grateful for the donations we’ve received in the past and are thankful for future support. We continually strive to be viewed as the best school in Oklahoma. But we can’t do it alone. We ask community members and businesses to rally behind JRCS to create a school we can all be proud of in downtown OKC.

Since our opening in 2014, JRCS has offered quality educational opportunities to children in the heart of Downtown Oklahoma City. We currently serve over 700 students, and our enrollment application numbers continue to grow with a waitlist in the dozens.

With the acquisition of the McAlpine Center, we now host 5th-8th grades across the street from our elementary school. We hope to continue renovating the historic building to include more classrooms and instructional spaces for our growing student body.

While we did not meet last year’s fundraising goal for the McAlpine Center, we remain hopeful we can raise the remaining funds to complete the project.

Please consider being a sponsor of our school’s Fun Run on Oct. 6 to help us complete the renovation and provide expanded curriculum for students. Our school is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, so contributions are tax-deductible. Click this link for more details on sponsorship levels.

If you have questions or would like to make a gift, please contact funrun@johnrexschool.org or 405-875-0032.

Thank you in advance for supporting our school and helping make the John Rex Fun Run a success! With your support, we can create a stronger launch pad for our Rockets to thrive and grow into confident, excited lifelong learners.

Sincerely,
Dean Ketchum
Head of School
