Mask Policy Update From Mr. Ketchum

Hello Rockets. Starting Monday, Aug. 16,  John Rex Charter School requires students, faculty, staff and visitors to wear masks. Upon reviewing medical experts' advice and rising cases, we're hopeful this safety precaution will keep our Rockets safe and prevent the spread of COVID as practiced last year. If needed, your family may choose to opt-out of the mask requirement for personal, medical, or religious reasons by completing this form. Preparation for the Upcoming School Year

We hope everyone is having an amazing summer! We can’t wait to welcome the returning and new Rockets on the first day of school, August 11.   Please mark the important dates on your calendars and review information about the upcoming year below. Be on the lookout for more information as we continue to get closer to the start of the school year.    Meet the Teacher Day  Date: Friday, August 6, 2021  Elementary School: 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  Middle School: 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.  Families will be able to meet their teacher, turn in pre-boarding forms and school supplies at this time. John Rex Receives $130,000 in Grants from Oklahoma Educational Technology Trust

We are incredibly excited to announce John Rex Charter School has received $130,000 in grants from the Oklahoma Educational Technology Trust (OETT)! The elementary school and middle school each received $65,000, with part of the grants allotted for professional development training through the K20 Center in Norman.   “These grants will make a huge difference to our current students and allow us to better serve future generations of John Rex Rockets,” said Head of School Dean Ketchum. “We looked forward to witnessing imaginations, creativity and learning soar.”   The elementary school will use the grant money to purchase 121 iPads…
