Return to Learn – Update

Dear JRCS Parents, Staff, and Community, The JRCS Board approved our initial "Return to Learn" plan (view here) in a special meeting on Thursday. The plan allows parents to choose from two options. The options are to attend school in person or to attend school online. The online option is a semester long commitment for your child. If you choose to return to school in person and for any reason feel uneasy about your decision you may choose online learning. John Rex community, My official start date is soon approaching! In the meantime, the John Rex board has allowed me to jump in and become involved before the official start date. I have two exciting announcements to share with you today. First, it is my pleasure to announce Heather Zacarias will be starting a new charter school in Oklahoma City. John Rex Charter School Launches Capital Campaign to Renovate Historic Building

Additional $400,000 needed to convert McAlpine Center into educational space OKLAHOMA CITY (June 1, 2020) —John Rex Charter School (JRCS) has launched a capital campaign to complete renovations of the historic McAlpine Center.  The McAlpine Center, located one block from the school’s main building, will become a new learning space for an expanding student body and help the school fulfill educational needs downtown. School leaders plan to raise $400,000 by August 1.
