John Rex Charter School Seeks New Head of School

OKLAHOMA CITY (Feb. 28, 2020) – John Rex Charter School (JRCS) has announced its search for a new head of school. This role oversees grades pre-k through 8th.
The JRCS board and an ad hoc search committee are working with the Oklahoma Public School Resource Center to identify qualified candidates. Applicants should have a minimum of five years’ professional experience; as well as a master’s degree in education administration or a related field, or equivalent leadership experience with demonstrated education administration and management skills.
Under the direction of the JRCS board, whoever is hired will supervise the curriculum; oversee classroom instruction; develop and maintain the school’s budget; supervise staff and lead meetings, among other duties.
There will be forums for parents, family members, staff and the community to provide input in the search process. Interviews, selection and announcement of a new head of school will occur in mid-April.
